Crispy, cheesy, and loaded with fresh herbaceous flavor, these Dehydrator Chivy Cheese Chips are the ultimate guilt-free snack! Made with sharp cheddar cheese, fragrant fresh chives, and a hint of paprika and garlic powder, these low-carb chips are packed with savory flavors in every crunchy bite. Perfectly crafted in a food dehydrator, this recipe requires minimal effort and transforms simple ingredients into a gourmet treat with a delightfully crisp texture. Ideal for keto dieters or anyone looking for a creative cheese snack, these homemade chips are the perfect addition to snack platters, soups, or as a standalone indulgence. Whip up a batch in just 10 minutes of prep time, and let the dehydrator do the rest!
Grate the cheddar cheese using a medium or fine grater and place it into a mixing bowl.
Finely chop the fresh chives and add them to the cheese.
Add the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl and toss everything together until evenly combined.
Cut a sheet of parchment paper to fit your dehydrator trays and line the trays with the parchment paper.
Spoon small mounds of the cheesy mixture onto the prepared trays, spacing them about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart. Flatten each mound slightly with the back of the spoon to form a thin circle about 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter.
Place the trays into the dehydrator and set it to 145°F (63°C). Allow the cheese chips to dehydrate for about 2 hours, or until they are fully crisp and golden brown.
Carefully remove the cheese chips from the dehydrator and let them cool completely on the trays.
Store the chips in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or enjoy them immediately!
