πŸ“ Instructions

10 steps
1

Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise to create a top and bottom piece.

2

Spread 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard evenly on the inside of each piece of bread.

3

Layer the roasted pork, deli ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on the bottom half of the bread in that order.

4

Place the top half of the bread over the layered ingredients to assemble the sandwich.

5

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on the outside of the top half of the bread. Flip the sandwich and spread the remaining butter on the outside of the bottom half.

6

Heat a panini press, grill pan, or large skillet over medium heat.

7

Place the sandwich on the hot surface. If using a grill pan or skillet, place a heavy object, such as a cast-iron skillet, on top of the sandwich to press it down.

8

Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip (if not using a panini press) and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.

9

Carefully remove the sandwich from the heat and let it rest for 1 minute.

10

Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm. Enjoy your authentic Cuban Press sandwich!
