Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare a grill for medium heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, cranberry sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended and set the sauce aside.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and rub them lightly with olive oil to help the skin crisp up during cooking.
If you’re using the oven, place the chicken thighs on a lined baking sheet or a baking dish, skin-side up. If you’re grilling, place the chicken directly on the preheated grill grates, skin-side down.
