πŸ“ Instructions

8 steps
1

Begin by placing a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in the freezer to chill while you prepare the chocolate and coffee beans.

2

In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt the dark chocolate along with the teaspoon of butter. Stir intermittently until the mixture is smooth and completely melted.

3

Once melted, remove from the heat and let it cool slightly for about 2-3 minutes. This helps in thickening the chocolate slightly for better coating on the coffee beans.

4

Add the whole coffee beans into the melted chocolate. Stir well until all the beans are thoroughly coated with chocolate.

5

Using a fork or a small slotted spoon, lift the coated coffee beans out of the chocolate, letting any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Place each bean separately on the chilled baking sheet.

6

Once all the beans are placed on the sheet, set them aside to cool and harden. This should take about 15-20 minutes if left at room temperature, or 5-10 minutes if placed in the refrigerator.

7

After the chocolate has set, place the unsweetened cocoa powder in a fine mesh sieve and gently dust over the chocolate covered coffee beans for an extra rich finish.

8

Store the chocolate covered coffee beans in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
