📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, and sriracha. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

2

In a small bowl, make a sealing glue by mixing the water and cornstarch together. Set aside.

3

Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place about one teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of the wrapper.

4

Fold the wrapper diagonally into a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal. Use the cornstarch glue along the edges for a tighter seal.

5

Bring the two pointed ends of the triangle together to form a firecracker-like shape and seal with a little more cornstarch glue. Repeat this process with the remaining wonton wrappers and filling.

6

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the temperature by dipping a small piece of wrapper into the oil—it should sizzle immediately.

7

Fry the firecrackers in batches, about 4-5 at a time, to avoid overcrowding the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per batch, or until golden brown and crispy.

8

Remove the firecrackers from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

9

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or spicy mayonnaise.
