📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Slice the beef flank steak thinly against the grain into bite-sized pieces and transfer to a mixing bowl.

2

In the bowl with the beef, combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix well and marinate for 15 minutes.

3

While the beef is marinating, in a small bowl, whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, 0.5 tablespoons of cornstarch, brown sugar, water, and minced ginger to create the stir-fry sauce. Set aside.

4

Mince the garlic cloves and prepare the broccoli florets by washing and cutting them into even-sized pieces.

5

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

6

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet and stir-fry the broccoli with a pinch of salt and pepper for about 4-5 minutes, adding 2-3 tablespoons of water to help steam the broccoli if needed.

7

Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli and pour the stir-fry sauce over the ingredients.

8

Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly.

9

Remove from heat and serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
