📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Set aside.

2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until the butter has melted.

3

Add the minced garlic and diced shallot to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and translucent.

4

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes on one side.

5

Flip the shrimp and continue cooking for another 2 minutes, or until they are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

6

Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Stir in the lemon juice and honey, scraping up any browned bits on the bottom of the pan to create a flavorful sauce.

7

Carefully pour the bourbon into the skillet. Allow it to warm for 15-20 seconds, then use a long-handled lighter to ignite the bourbon. Stand back as the flames rise, and let the alcohol burn off completely (this should take about 30 seconds).

8

Once the flames subside, return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the sauce until they are fully coated and warmed through.

9

Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley.

10

Serve the Bourbon Shrimp Flambé immediately with rice, crusty bread, or pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
