📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.

2

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium-low heat until it's just about to boil. Remove it from the heat immediately.

3

Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes. Then gently stir until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

4

Add the unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and half of the finely chopped pistachios to the chocolate mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.

5

Place plastic wrap directly on the surface of the mixture to prevent a skin from forming, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until the ganache is firm.

6

Using a small spoon, scoop out portions of the ganache (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly and shape it into a heart using your hands or a mini cookie cutter.

7

Spread the remaining chopped pistachios onto a plate. Roll the edges of the truffle hearts in the pistachios to coat them partially or completely, as desired.

8

Lightly dust the tops of the truffles with cocoa powder for a finishing touch.

9

Arrange the Truffle Pistachio Hearts on a serving platter or package them in a gift box, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
