📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Place the tofu block between two plates with a heavy object on top or use a tofu press for about 15 minutes.

2

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly spray the parchment with vegetable oil spray.

3

Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized pieces or strips, depending on your preference.

4

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water to make a smooth slurry. In a second shallow bowl, pour the almond milk. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

5

Dip each tofu piece into the cornstarch slurry, then the almond milk, and finally coat it thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.

6

Lightly spray the tops of the tofu pieces with vegetable oil spray to encourage crisping. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip each piece and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and crisp.

7

While the tofu is baking, prepare the hot wing sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the vegan butter and stir in the hot sauce until well combined. Remove from heat.

8

Once the tofu pieces are done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the tofu and gently toss to evenly coat.

9

Serve the tofu hot wings immediately with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and vegan ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side. Enjoy!
