πŸ“ Instructions

10 steps
1

Place the thinly sliced beef in a bowl and marinate with 2 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornstarch. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.

2

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and swirl to coat.

3

Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are seared and the beef is nearly cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.

4

In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and sliced red chillies, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5

Add the red and green bell peppers to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly softened but still crisp.

6

Return the beef to the wok and mix everything together.

7

In a small bowl, combine 3 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, and 50 ml of water. Pour this sauce mixture into the wok and toss to coat the beef and vegetables evenly.

8

Allow the sauce to simmer for 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly and evenly coats the ingredients.

9

Sprinkle in the chopped spring onions and stir into the dish.

10

Transfer the stir-fry to a serving plate and, if desired, garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
