📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix to avoid tough meatballs.

2

Take a small handful of the meat mixture and flatten it into a disc in your palm. Place one cube of mozzarella into the center and wrap the meat around it, rolling it into a ball. Repeat with remaining meat mixture and mozzarella cubes until all meatballs are formed.

3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the meatballs and set aside. (They do not need to be fully cooked at this stage.)

4

In the same skillet, pour in the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer. Carefully place the browned meatballs into the sauce, spooning sauce over each meatball to coat them. Cover with a lid and let simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the mozzarella is melted.

5

While the meatballs cook, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the spaghetti, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

6

Toss the cooked spaghetti with a small amount of the marinara sauce and, if needed, add reserved pasta water to loosen it. Divide the spaghetti among serving plates.

7

Top each plate of spaghetti with 3-4 meatballs and additional marinara sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

8

Serve immediately and enjoy your Spaghetti with Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs!
