Measure 2 tablespoons of dark roast coffee grounds and place them in a coffee filter or a coffee press. For a more authentic experience, use a stainless steel Vietnamese coffee filter (phin).

Slowly pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds, allowing the coffee to steep as it drips into your cup. This process should take 4-5 minutes. If using a coffee press, let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes and then press the plunger down gently.

While the coffee is brewing, prepare your serving cup by adding 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk at the bottom.
