Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) or 180°C (350°F) fan-assisted.

To make the pastry, combine the all-purpose flour and icing sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the cubed cold butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
