πŸ“ Instructions

14 steps
1

In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Set aside.

2

In a small saucepan, warm the milk until it's about 43Β°C (110Β°F). Remove from heat and stir in yeast. Let proof for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes foamy.

3

In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the yeast mixture, the egg, and melted unsalted butter. Gradually add the dry ingredients and knead on medium speed using the dough hook attachment for about 7-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

4

Fold in the raisins until evenly distributed within the dough.

5

Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

6

Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.

7

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle approximately 20cm x 40cm (8 x 16 inches).

8

Brush the melted butter over the entire surface of the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.

9

Starting from one of the shorter ends, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape.

10

Place the rolled dough seam side down in a greased 23cm x 13cm (9 x 5 inches) loaf pan.

11

Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes, or until the dough is puffed up and nearly doubled.

12

Preheat your oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

13

Bake the bread for approximately 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.

14

Allow the bread to cool slightly in the pan before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
