πŸ“ Instructions

8 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Remove the core from the head of cabbage and carefully peel off 10–12 large leaves. Blanch the leaves in the boiling water for 2–3 minutes, until softened and pliable. Drain and set aside on a clean kitchen towel.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

3

Lay a cabbage leaf on a flat surface. Place 2–3 tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center of the leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly, tucking in the edges to form a neat roll. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.

4

Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

5

In a medium bowl, whisk together the tomato sauce, chicken or beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour a small amount of the sauce mixture into the bottom of a large baking dish to lightly coat it.

6

Arrange the cabbage rolls seam-side down in the baking dish. Pour the remaining sauce over the rolls, making sure they are fully covered.

7

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 75–90 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the filling is cooked through.

8

Let the cabbage rolls rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon some of the sauce over them and enjoy!
