Serve it over ice for a chilled treat thatβs guaranteed to satisfy and transport your taste buds to a tropical oasis.
In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
Once the water is boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes for a strong brew.
Remove the tea bags from the water and stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
While the tea is cooling, blend the canned lychees (with some of the syrup) in a blender until smooth. Strain the blended lychee mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp, leaving a smooth juice.
In a large pitcher, combine the cool black tea, strained lychee juice, and half a cup of the lychee syrup from the can. Stir well to combine.
Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the lychee tea over the ice.
Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a fresh lychee, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
