πŸ“ Instructions

11 steps
1

Finely chop the kimchi and squeeze out excess liquid using your hands or a cheesecloth.

2

Chop the green onions finely and mince the garlic and ginger.

3

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped kimchi, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, minced ginger, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

4

Place a dumpling wrapper in your hand and add about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of the wrapper.

5

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold the wrapper in half, pressing the edges to seal. You can pleat the edges to create the traditional dumpling shape.

6

Repeat the process until all the wrappers are filled.

7

To cook the dumplings, heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

8

Add the dumplings to the skillet, flat side down, in a single layer without overcrowding, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 3 minutes.

9

Carefully add about 1/4 cup water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid. Let the dumplings steam for about 5-6 minutes or until the water has evaporated.

10

Remove the lid and continue cooking for another minute to crisp up the bottoms.

11

Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
