📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2

Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

3

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

4

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.

5

Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.

6

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7

While the sauce simmers, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the diced zucchini and blanch for 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.

8

Add the cooked ground beef and blanched zucchini to the skillet with the sauce. Stir and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to combine the flavors.

9

To serve, divide the cooked pasta between four bowls. Spoon the Italian beef and vegetable mixture over the pasta.

10

Garnish each bowl with grated Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
