📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a large roasting pan with foil for easy cleanup.

2

If the ham has a plastic or foil covering, remove it. Place the ham cut-side down in the prepared roasting pan.

3

With a sharp knife, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, cutting about 1/4 inch deep. If you like, you can stud the intersections of the diamonds with whole cloves.

4

In a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Heat over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

5

Brush about half of the glaze evenly over the ham, making sure to cover all the scored areas.

6

Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting with pan drippings every 30 minutes.

7

Remove the foil and brush the ham with the remaining glaze. Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C).

8

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Slice and serve warm.
