📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Rinse the trout thoroughly under cold water, pat them dry with paper towels, and place them on a clean cutting board.

2

Using a sharp knife, make 2-3 shallow diagonal cuts on both sides of each fish. This ensures even cooking and allows the seasonings to penetrate.

3

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Gently rub this mixture all over the trout, including inside the cavity and into the diagonal cuts.

4

Slice the lemon into thin rounds and insert one or two slices inside each fish cavity, along with a thyme sprig and a few pinches of chopped parsley.

5

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F/200°C). Clean and oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

6

Place the trout directly onto the grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, depending on the size of the fish, until the skin is crisp and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.

7

Carefully remove the trout from the grill and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with more fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.

8

Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes, such as grilled vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
