📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

2

Remove the silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs and pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

3

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a dry rub.

4

Rub the spice mixture generously onto both sides of the ribs, pressing it in to adhere.

5

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover the ribs tightly with another sheet of foil to seal in moisture.

6

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours, or until the ribs are very tender.

7

While the ribs are baking, make the barbecue sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, yellow mustard, and water. Whisk together and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.

8

After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully take off the top foil. Brush a generous layer of the barbecue sauce over the ribs.

9

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered. Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting with more sauce every 10 minutes, until the ribs are caramelized and slightly charred on the edges.

10

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
