Craving a luscious, homemade dessert but short on time? This Five Minute Ice Cream recipe is the ultimate solution! With just a handful of simple ingredients—like heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and a splash of vanilla extract—you can whip up rich, velvety ice cream without a machine in mere minutes. Using a clever bag-shaking technique with ice and kosher salt, this no-churn recipe is perfect for when you need a quick fix for sweet cravings or an entertaining DIY activity with kids. Ready in just 5 minutes, this creamy treat is ideal for summer days, impromptu dessert nights, or any moment that calls for ice cream on demand. Serve it straight out of the bag in bowls or cones for a fun and frosty indulgence!
In the quart-sized ziplock bag, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Seal the bag tightly, removing as much air as possible.
In the gallon-sized ziplock bag, add the ice and kosher salt.
Place the sealed quart-sized bag containing the ice cream mixture inside the gallon-sized bag with the ice and salt. Seal the gallon-sized bag securely.
Shake the bag vigorously for 4-5 minutes, making sure the cream mixture is moving and coming into contact with the cold surface created by the ice and salt.
Carefully remove the quart-sized bag from the gallon-sized bag. Wipe off any residual salt and ice from the outside of the smaller bag to avoid contamination.
Cut a corner of the quart-sized bag or use a spoon to scoop out the freshly made ice cream.
Serve immediately in bowls or cones and enjoy your quick and creamy treat!
