📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cooked crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly until smooth and evenly combined.

2

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean, flat surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center of each wrapper.

3

Using your finger or a small brush, lightly brush the edges of a wrapper with the beaten egg. Fold the wrapper diagonally in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Optionally, bring the two opposite points of the triangle together and seal with a dab of egg for a more decorative shape.

4

Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until all wontons are prepared.

5

In a large saucepan or deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Test the oil by dropping a small piece of wonton wrapper into it—if it sizzles immediately, the oil is ready.

6

Carefully lower a few wontons into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

7

Remove the fried wontons with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Repeat with the remaining wontons.

8

Serve warm with sweet chili sauce (optional) for dipping. Enjoy!
