📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of coconut aminos. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

2

Divide the mixture into 4 even portions and shape each into an oval patty about 1/2 inch thick.

3

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burger steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside.

4

Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of ghee to the skillet. Add sliced mushrooms and onions, and sauté for 5-7 minutes or until the mushrooms are browned and the onions are tender.

5

Pour in the beef broth and remaining tablespoon of coconut aminos, stirring to deglaze the pan and incorporate browned bits.

6

In a small bowl, whisk together arrowroot powder and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry into the skillet and stir continuously until the gravy thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

7

Return the cooked burger steaks to the skillet, spooning some of the mushroom gravy over them. Let them simmer for an additional 2 minutes so the flavors meld together.

8

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!
