πŸ“ Instructions

9 steps
1

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of whole wheat flour, 0.25 cup of rice flour, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt.

2

Add 2 tablespoons of curd (yogurt) and 1.5 cups of water to the bowl. Whisk the ingredients together to form a smooth, lump-free batter. The batter should have a pouring consistency similar to pancake batter.

3

Add 0.5 teaspoon of cumin seeds to the batter and mix well.

4

Heat a non-stick skillet or dosa pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with a few drops of oil using a brush or paper towel.

5

Once the pan is hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the pan. Use the back of the ladle to spread the batter outwards in circular motions to form a thin dosa.

6

Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the dosa. Cook the dosa for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to lift and it turns golden brown.

7

Use a spatula to flip the dosa and cook the other side for another minute until it’s cooked through.

8

Remove the dosa from the pan and serve immediately. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil to the pan as needed.

9

Serve wheat dosas hot with chutney or sambar of your choice.
