πŸ“ Instructions

12 steps
1

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Thaw the vegan puff pastry sheets according to package instructions, typically around 40 minutes.

3

Lightly dust a clean surface with all-purpose flour. Roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/8 inch thick.

4

Cut the pastry into 8 equal rectangles using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter.

5

Slice the guava paste into small 1/2 inch cubes. Place 2 to 3 cubes on one half of each pastry rectangle, leaving a 1/4 inch border around the edges.

6

Brush the edges of the pastry lightly with almond milk. Fold the other half of the pastry over the guava paste to create a pocket.

7

Seal the edges by pressing them gently with a fork. Using a sharp knife, make a small slit on the top of each pastry for ventilation.

8

Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet.

9

Brush the tops of the pastries with a little almond milk and sprinkle cane sugar evenly on each.

10

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.

11

Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.

12

Enjoy your delicious vegan guava pastries warm or at room temperature.
