In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter.
Using a hand or stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter on medium speed until the mixture is creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
Split the vanilla bean pod down the center with a sharp knife and scrape out the seeds using the edge of the knife.
Add the vanilla bean seeds, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the cream cheese and butter mixture. Mix briefly to incorporate.
