📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2

In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until smooth.

3

Add the egg whites to the butter mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.

4

Sift the flour and salt into the wet mixture and fold gently until a smooth batter forms. Avoid overmixing.

5

Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Use the back of the spoon to spread it into a thin 4-inch (10 cm) circle. Repeat, leaving space between each circle for spreading.

6

Bake the shells for 6–8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

7

Quickly remove one shell at a time from the baking sheet using a spatula and immediately drape it over the underside of a small inverted bowl or cup. Gently press the edges to form a tulip-like shape. (Work quickly, as the shells harden as they cool.)

8

Let the shells cool completely on the molds before removing them.

9

Fill the tulipes with your favorite toppings such as ice cream, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or custard before serving.
