Customize the flavor with optional almond extract for an extra nutty note and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a cozy finish. Ready in just 10 minutes, this easy homemade cappuccino is a comforting pick-me-up that’s as healthy as it is delicious.
Brew a strong cup of coffee or prepare espresso. You will need approximately half a cup for one serving.
In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Use a thermometer to ensure it does not exceed 150°F (65°C).
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sweetener. If using, also stir in the almond extract for an extra almond flavor.
Using a milk frother or an immersion blender, froth the almond milk until it becomes creamy and forms bubbles. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
Pour the hot espresso or strong coffee into a cup.
Gently pour the frothed almond milk over the espresso, using a spoon to hold back the froth. Once most of the milk is in the cup, spoon the remaining froth on top.
Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for additional flavor.
Serve immediately and enjoy your sugar-free almond cappuccino!
