📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2

Wash the spinach thoroughly and blanch it in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and squeeze out as much water as possible, then chop finely.

3

Finely chop the onion and garlic.

4

In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.

5

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, onion-garlic mixture, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

6

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

7

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the spinach balls are firm and slightly browned.

9

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

10

Serve warm as an appetizer or a side dish. Enjoy!
