Bring 3 liters of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water.
Add 250 grams of spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions (typically 8-10 minutes) until al dente.
While the pasta cooks, finely chop 30 grams of fresh parsley and mince 2 garlic cloves, if using.
