Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
Place the ham fat-side up in a large roasting pan and use a sharp knife to score the surface in a criss-cross diamond pattern, cutting about 1/4 inch deep.
If desired, insert a whole clove into the center of each diamond shape for garnishing purposes.
Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and bake the ham for 1 hour and 30 minutes (18 minutes per pound) until heated through. Remove it from the oven.
While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze by combining the brown sugar, rum, Dijon mustard, whole-grain mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground cloves in a medium saucepan.
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Set aside to cool slightly.
After 1 hour and 30 minutes of baking, remove the foil from the ham and brush generously with the prepared glaze.
Return the ham to the oven and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes, basting with additional glaze every 10 minutes. The edges of the ham should caramelize to a beautiful golden brown.
Check the internal temperature of the ham with a meat thermometer. It should register at least 140°F (60°C).
Once fully cooked, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.
Optional: Garnish the ham with orange slices around the base for presentation.
Serve warm and enjoy your Rum Mustard Glazed Ham with your favorite side dishes!
