📝 Instructions

11 steps
1

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

2. Rinse the piranha fish under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Make 3-4 diagonal slashes on each side of the fish to allow even cooking.

3

3. Season the fish, inside and out, with salt and black pepper.

4

4. Slice the lemon in half. Use one half to squeeze juice over the fish, and slice the other half thinly for garnishing.

5

5. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the fish and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

6

6. Transfer the skillet with the fish to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

7

7. While the fish is baking, prepare the lemon garlic butter sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant (do not let it burn).

8

8. If using white wine, pour it into the saucepan and simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly. If not, skip this step.

9

9. Stir in the juice of the remaining half of the lemon and the chopped parsley. Remove the sauce from heat.

10

10. Once the fish is done cooking, transfer it to a serving platter and drizzle the lemon garlic butter sauce over the top.

11

11. Garnish with lemon slices and additional parsley, if desired. Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
