Grease an 8x8-inch or 9x13-inch baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and microwave on high for 30 seconds or until melted.
Add the mini marshmallows to the bowl with the melted butter. Stir to coat the marshmallows in the butter.
