- 6 pieces Pretzel sticks
- 150 grams Colored chocolate melts
- 50 grams Assorted sprinkles
- 1 piece Black food decorating pen
- 12 pieces Toothpicks
Instructions
Prepare your workspace by laying out a sheet of parchment paper for the marshmallow animals to rest on as you assemble them.
Melt the colored chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and completely melted.
Insert a toothpick into the bottom of each large marshmallow to use as a handle for assembling and decorating.
Dip the large marshmallows halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Set them upright on the parchment paper to dry slightly but not harden fully.
While the chocolate is still tacky, attach two mini marshmallows to the top of each large marshmallow to serve as ears or horns, depending on the animal you’re creating.
Push small pieces of pretzel stick into the sides of the large marshmallow to create legs or arms for animals like bears or dogs. For winged animals, skip this step and add decorations later.
Use the decorating pen to add facial features like noses, mouths, and whiskers to the animals. Alternatively, you can use a toothpick dipped in the melted chocolate for detailed features.
Attach candy eyes to the front of each large marshmallow using a small dot of melted chocolate as adhesive.
