Elevate your keto culinary adventures with this creamy and fluffy Keto Garlic Toumโan irresistible Lebanese garlic sauce perfect for low-carb diets. Bursting with bold, garlicky flavor, this toum is expertly emulsified with a blend of avocado oil and olive oil, creating a luxurious texture without any dairy or carbs. Fresh lemon juice adds a bright tang, while just a hint of salt balances the robust garlic notes. Made in just 20 minutes with a food processor, this keto-friendly condiment is ideal for dipping, spreading, or drizzling over grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or salads. Plus, its long shelf life makes it a convenient staple for your ketogenic meal prep.
Peel the garlic cloves and place them in a food processor with the salt. Pulse until the garlic is finely minced, scraping down the sides as needed.
Add half of the lemon juice and half of the cold water to the garlic mixture. Process again until the mixture is smooth.
Mix the avocado oil and olive oil in a pourable container. With the processor running, very slowly drizzle in the mixed oils in a thin, steady stream. This should take about 8-10 minutes.
Once all the oil has been incorporated, stop the processor and add the remaining lemon juice and water. Process again for about 1-2 minutes until the toum is fluffy and has an airy texture.
Taste and adjust the salt or lemon juice if needed. The toum should be thick, white, and creamy.
Transfer the toum to a clean jar or container and store it in the refrigerator. It can be kept for up to 1 month and will thicken slightly when chilled.
