📝 Instructions

7 steps
1

In the quart-sized sandwich bag, combine the heavy cream (or whole milk), granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Seal the bag tightly, ensuring there is minimal air inside.

2

Fill the gallon-sized freezer bag halfway with ice cubes (approximately 4 cups). Add the rock salt or coarse salt to the ice.

3

Place the sealed quart-sized sandwich bag inside the gallon-sized freezer bag. Seal the larger bag securely, ensuring it is completely closed.

4

Shake the larger bag vigorously for 5-7 minutes. Use a towel or gloves to protect your hands, as the bag will become very cold during the process.

5

After shaking, carefully open the gallon-sized bag and remove the smaller bag. Rinse the outside of the smaller bag with cold water to remove any salt.

6

Open the smaller bag and scoop out the ice cream into a bowl or enjoy straight from the bag with a spoon!

7

Optional: Top with your favorite toppings like chocolate chips, sprinkles, or fruit before serving.
