📝 Instructions

12 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

2

Place the spiral-cut ham in a roasting pan with the cut side facing down. If the ham comes with a packet of glaze, set it aside as you will use your own homemade glaze.

3

Cover the ham tightly with aluminum foil to prevent it from drying out and transfer it to the oven.

4

Bake the ham for approximately 10-12 minutes per pound or until its internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). For an 8-pound ham, this will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

5

While the ham bakes, prepare the honey glaze by combining the honey, brown sugar, butter, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, vanilla extract, and water in a medium saucepan.

6

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. Bring the glaze to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the glaze from heat and set aside.

7

Once the ham is heated through, remove it from the oven and carefully uncover it.

8

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).

9

Generously brush half of the honey glaze over the ham, making sure to get it into all the spiral cuts. Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, for 15 minutes.

10

After 15 minutes, brush the remaining glaze over the ham and continue to bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and slightly sticky.

11

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

12

Carve the ham along the spiral cuts and serve warm. Enjoy!
