📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and place a rack in the lower part of the oven.

2

Remove any packaging and plastic disk from the ham, if present. Place the ham, cut side down, in a large roasting pan lined with aluminum foil.

3

Cover the ham tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours (about 10 minutes per pound).

4

While the ham bakes, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, orange zest, and orange juice. Stir well to combine and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened, then set aside.

5

After the initial bake time, carefully remove the ham from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).

6

Remove the foil from the ham and brush a generous layer of the glaze over the surface, making sure to get into any grooves or cuts in the ham.

7

Return the ham, uncovered, to the oven and bake for an additional 30-40 minutes, basting with the glaze every 10 minutes, until the ham is glossy, caramelized, and heated through.

8

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy!
