📝 Instructions

13 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the package instructions and lay them flat on a lightly floured surface.

3

Defrost the frozen chopped spinach by microwaving it for 2–3 minutes, or until completely thawed. Squeeze out all excess water using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

4

In a mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated and smooth.

5

Lightly beat the egg in a small bowl and set aside.

6

Spread the spinach mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheets, leaving a 1-inch border along one edge of each sheet.

7

Brush the uncovered edge of the pastry sheets with the beaten egg. This will help seal the rolls.

8

Starting from the opposite edge, tightly roll the puff pastry into a log, sealing the edge with the egg wash.

9

Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each log into 6 equal pieces, creating 12 rolls in total.

10

Place the rolls cut-side down onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them for expansion.

11

Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining beaten egg for a golden finish. For extra richness, you can also brush a little melted butter over the top.

12

Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.

13

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Heavenly Spinach Rolls warm or at room temperature!
