Juicy, flavorful, and packed with aromatic spices, these Ground Chicken Turkey Kofta Kebabs are a healthy and versatile twist on a Middle Eastern classic. Made with a perfectly balanced blend of ground chicken and turkey, grated onion, fresh parsley, and mint, these kebabs are seasoned with warm spices like cumin, coriander, and cinnamon for layers of savory goodness. Skewered and lightly brushed with olive oil, they can be grilled, pan-seared, or oven-baked to perfection in just minutes. Ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing barbecue, these kebabs pair beautifully with fluffy pita bread, creamy tzatziki sauce, and a crisp salad or roasted vegetables. Ready in under 40 minutes and loaded with lean protein, this easy kofta recipe is as wholesome as it is delicious!
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, ground turkey, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, and mint leaves.
Add the cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Use clean hands or a spatula to mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend and to make the mixture easier to shape.
While the mixture chills, soak wooden skewers in water if you plan to use them. This prevents them from burning during cooking.
Once chilled, divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into an oblong, sausage-like shape around a skewer. Make sure the meat clings securely to the skewer.
Brush each kebab lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and promote even browning.
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat. If baking, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the kebabs on the grill or grill pan for 3-4 minutes on each side or until fully browned and cooked through. Alternatively, bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Once done, transfer the kebabs to a plate and rest for a minute before serving.
Serve the kofta kebabs with pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and a side of salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
