📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.

2

Mash the potatoes until smooth using a potato masher or fork.

3

In a small pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add this to the mashed potatoes.

4

Mix the mashed potatoes with milk, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Stir until well combined and smooth. Allow the mixture to cool completely.

5

Once cooled, take about 2 tablespoons of the potato mixture into your hands, flatten it slightly, and place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center. Wrap the potato mixture around the cheese and roll into a ball. Repeat until all the potato mixture is used.

6

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.

7

Dredge each potato ball in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all potato balls.

8

In a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato balls in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

9

Remove the fried potato balls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

10

Serve the Garlic Potato Balls warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired, and enjoy!
