In a medium saucepan, combine the water, cinnamon stick, ground ginger, cloves, cardamom pods, and black peppercorns.
Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.
After 5 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and add the black tea bags to the spiced water. Let the tea steep for another 5 minutes.
Strain the tea mixture into a pitcher or large bowl, discarding the spices and tea bags.
Stir in the vanilla extract and maple syrup into the strained tea concentrate.
Allow the tea concentrate to cool to room temperature, or refrigerate it to speed up the process.
Once the tea is cool, fill 2 glasses with ice cubes. Pour 120 ml of the cooled tea concentrate into each glass.
Top each glass with 120 ml of unsweetened almond milk.
Stir gently to combine the tea concentrate and almond milk.
Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Dairy-Free Iced Chai Latte.
