πŸ“ Instructions

9 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining, then set the pasta aside.

2

While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.

3

Once the butter has melted, add the prosciutto. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the prosciutto becomes crispy. Remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.

5

Reduce the heat to low, then slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese has fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

6

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. Stir to combine.

7

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it gently to coat in the cream sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water, a few tablespoons at a time, until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.

8

Stir the crispy prosciutto back into the pasta and toss to combine.

9

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra grated Parmesan cheese on the side, if desired.
