📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberry juice, water, and sugar. Heat over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.

2

Add the fresh cranberries to the saucepan. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the cranberries start to pop and soften slightly. Remove saucepan from heat.

3

Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom.

4

Stir the bloomed gelatin into the hot cranberry mixture until it dissolves completely. Ensure there are no lumps.

5

Add the orange zest and orange juice to the mixture, stirring to combine fully.

6

Lightly grease a star-shaped gelatin mold with a neutral oil or nonstick cooking spray for easy release.

7

Pour the cranberry mixture into the prepared mold. Allow the mixture to come to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator.

8

Chill the mold in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until it is fully set.

9

To unmold, place the mold briefly in warm water (about 10-15 seconds) to loosen the edges. Place a serving plate on top of the mold and invert it quickly.

10

Serve immediately as a stunning centerpiece, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
