Drain the maraschino cherries thoroughly. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, as this will help the chocolate adhere better.
Unwrap all 24 Hershey's Kisses and set them aside.
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently. If using paraffin wax or coconut oil, mix it in during the melting process for smoother chocolate.
Hold a maraschino cherry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
