📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of salt and the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, typically 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2

While the pasta is cooking, season both sides of the chicken breasts with 1 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper.

3

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest. Slice into thin strips once cooled slightly.

4

In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

5

Turn the heat to low and slowly stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth.

6

Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

7

Gently fold in the sliced chicken breast and mix until combined.

8

Serve the chicken fettuccine hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley and an additional sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired.
