📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.

2

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the ziti pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

3

While the pasta is cooking, cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and the Italian seasoning.

4

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

5

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.

6

Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet and add the heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 2–3 minutes, then stir in 1/2 cup of the grated Parmesan cheese. Adjust seasoning with the remaining salt and black pepper if needed.

7

Add the cooked ziti and chicken to the skillet with the sauce. Stir until the pasta and chicken are fully coated.

8

Transfer half of the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Add the remaining pasta mixture and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese.

9

Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10

Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
