πŸ“ Instructions

9 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

3

Using your hands or a small scoop, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate or tray and set aside.

4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, browning them on all sides (about 2 minutes per side). They do not need to be fully cooked through at this stage. Remove the browned meatballs and set them aside.

5

While the meatballs are browning, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until just shy of al dente (the pasta will cook further in the oven). Drain and set aside.

6

In a large baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce across the bottom. Add the cooked pasta and spread it out evenly. Nestle the browned meatballs on top of the pasta and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs and pasta.

7

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dish.

8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and slightly golden brown.

9

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
