📝 Instructions

12 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a rack in the lower third of the oven.

2

Remove the turkey giblets and neck from the cavity. Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat it completely dry with paper towels.

3

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, parsley, salt, and black pepper to form a herb butter.

4

Gently loosen the skin of the turkey breast by sliding your hands underneath the skin. Spread half of the herb butter under the skin, directly onto the meat.

5

Rub the remaining herb butter all over the outside of the turkey, ensuring even coverage for maximum flavor.

6

Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the quartered onion, halved lemon, celery stalks, and carrot chunks.

7

Place the turkey breast-side up on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan to create steam and keep the turkey moist.

8

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for 30 minutes at 450°F (230°C) to brown the skin.

9

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue roasting for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast reads 165°F (74°C).

10

Halfway through cooking, baste the turkey with the juices from the pan to enhance flavor and keep it moist.

11

Once fully cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 30 minutes before carving.

12

Carve and serve your Awesome High Heat Holiday Turkey with your favorite sides and enjoy!
